Hello Members,
We are all excited that Championship Day will be taking place this year! But, like many things over the past two years, this year’s event will be a little different. The Championship Day Committee and UCC Board are working hard to ensure everyone is safe while enjoying a great day of curling.
Capacity Limit
The decision has been made that there will be a limit of 32 spectators allowed per draw. We are enforcing that spectators can only attend one draw to allow more people a chance to enjoy Championship Day.
Tickets
With the capacity limit being enforced, Championship Day will be a ticketed event. Curlers playing on Championship Day will have first access to the spectators' tickets. Spectators’ tickets are free.
If tickets become available, we will open them to the membership. If you are interested in a ticket, filling out the Google Form at https://forms.gle/pvrqsuqCnFahA5x68 will enter you into the raffle to win a spectator ticket. Winners will be contacted by email.
**Please note** Spectators will need to show proof of vaccination and photo ID to enter the club on Championship Day.
Championship Day Curlers
Curlers that are playing on Championship day, please notify your league chair ASAP on whether you will be using their spectator ticket or not. Any unused tickets will be released to the rest of the membership.
We ask that Championship Day curlers stay in the locker rooms before their game, as this will help the organizers to run a smoother operation.
Draw Schedule
To manage crowd control, and to ensure there is enough time to clear out the building in between draws, there are changes to the draw schedule.
