The Unionville Curling Club is proud of its Little Rocks program which, over the years, has developed many highly accomplished curlers.
The program is designed to be an introduction to the sport for kids in an enjoyable, noncompetitive atmosphere. The Little Rocks Program is divided into younger U9 (6-8) and older U12 (9-11) aged participants.
The youngest U9 curlers use a special full sized half-weight rocks that are designed for kids of this age group and stay for one hour instead of the full hour and a half.
The oldest U12 curlers are introduced to the full size full weight rocks and have extra time for more game play. Also, we maintain a high instructor to curler ratio on the ice at all times.
The program allows participants to play with their peers while learning the basic skills that will develop them into seasoned young curlers. Activities include in-club bonspiels, hit, draw and tap competition, as well as weekly scheduled drills and short games. The program also emphasizes safety through the use of mandated helmets, grippers on both feet, and step on sliders.
Little Rocks Curling is held on Sundays from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
The season begins Sunday mid October after Thansgiving and will run until mid April.
New members are welcome to join the program up to February 1st.

The Junior Program allows teenagers aged 12 - 18 to play with their peers while learning the strategies and skills that will develop them into highly skilled young adult curlers. Activities include in-club bonspiels, hot shots competition as well as weekly games. The program is designed for curlers of all skill levels to enable beginners to develop into competitive curlers if they wish. The Unionville Curling Club is proud of its Junior Curlers who over the years have accomplished many curling feats at the competitive level.
Junior Curling is on Sunday Afternoons from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
The season begins Sunday mid October after Thansgiving and will run until mid April.
