As we prepare to reopen our curling club let’s get together with friends old and new to reignite the tradition of friendship. We asked you to save the date and now we are ready to launch…..
Sweeping September Sizzlefest
Where: UCC parking lot
When: Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 1 – 7 PM
Voluntary cash donations to the club will be accepted.
Bring a chair, sit back and enjoy some music while getting reacquainted with your fellow UCC members.
Purchase a bite to eat from one of the food trucks we’ve invited.
Help support the club by purchasing raffle tickets for draws that will be held throughout the day. Some draws will also happen online for those of you unable to join us for the party.
Ready to get your competitive juices flowing?
- It’s been a while and you may be rusty on the foundational basics of the game, not to worry you can try your hand at Street Curling to wake up that muscle memory.
- Need to practice your strategical thinking, challenge an opponent to a game on the giant Connect Four board.
- Just want to have some silly fun, don’t worry we will have you covered with some games and competitions.
So pack up your favourite lawn chair, bring some cash for food, drinks or raffle tickets and come join us. We look forward to seeing you again as we prepare to kick off the 2021/22 curling season.
Reminder about health and safety
The health and safety of UCC members, staff, and our community are very important to us. This event will primarily take place in the parking lot, and while it is not mandatory to wear a mask outdoors we do ask that you remain respectful of each other. Please continue to practice social distancing and when that is not possible wear a mask.
The club will be accessible to purchase drinks from the bar or to use the washrooms. The current UCC policy is that anyone entering the building must wear a mask.
