2021/2022 Registration
On Behalf of the Board of Directors, we are happy to announce registration for the 2021 – 2022 season is now open. Please visit the UCC website/member page for the link.
Things to keep in mind:
Registration
- Returning members will be given a priority period (until Sept 12th, 2021) in which to register and guarantee placement in their respective leagues. Please contact your league chairperson for specific league policies. After the priority period, new members who registered during the priority period will be given priority over returning members who register after the priority period.
- For the 2021-22 season, a returning member is someone who was an active member in the 2019-20 or an associate member for the 2020-2021 season.
- Registrations are usually not complete until fully paid. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, we will not be taking online payments at this time. See registration forms for more information.
- Members who rolled all or a portion of last year’s payment over to this season will receive notification of any balance or credit due after their registration. Contact the office if you have any questions.
Vaccination Policy
- As part of their registration, everyone 12 years of age and over wishing to become a member of Unionville Curling Club will be asked to voluntarily consent to provide proof that they are fully immunized with a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine, by no later than September 20th (being two weeks prior to the start of the season). Please see the registration form for further details, including information for those that do not consent or that have a valid exemption.
- As a result, it has been determined that there will be no Little Rocks (U12) to start the season. Little Rocks curling this season will be re-evaluated as the season progresses.
- All members must also agree to covid-19 declaration of compliance in the application form.
While the Board understands that it is the wish of some members that there be strict enforcement of a vaccination verification requirement, doing so at this time is not possible. It must be noted that we currently asking for voluntary proof as we are not legally allowed to demand proof of vaccination. Doing so is a breach of privacy legislation and exposes the club to legal action. The Board continues to monitor provincial and regional guidelines closely and, in the event, things change sufficiently to allow us to demand proof of immunization, we will do so.
Sincerely,
Dwayne Vincent
President
