Dear Members
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I would like to pass along an update on our upcoming season.
On-line registration will be opening early next week for the 2021/22 season. We do apologize for the later than normal timing. We have all seen with COVID-19 and vaccinations there are ever-changing protocols for health and safety, and are making every attempt to have all information as current as possible as registration opens.
We on the Board have had multiple discussions on vaccinations and how that will impact Unionville Curling Club. With input from the members’ survey, various individual members, the Canadian Curling Association, Ontario Curling Association, outside legal direction and along with other curling clubs, we have drafted a policy necessary to protect the safety of members and staff, as well as the operational and financial safety of the Club. The policy as well as reopening guidelines will both be available on the website when registration opens.
It is also important to note that irrespective of policy, some measure of masking and social distancing protocols are still necessary, depending upon prevailing provincial guidelines and what stage of reopening we are in. Those guidelines have been modified from last year and will be on the website early next week. They will be monitored and updated accordingly to follow changes in Provincial and Regional guidelines.
