Unionville Curling Club is excited to announce that the Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors is now open!
We will have three open seats on our board to fill.
The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and governance, establishes policy, oversees the operations and financial performance of the Unionville Curling Club.
Board Members will serve on at least one committee, including:
a) Finance
b) Executive and Staff Relations Directorate
c) Planning, Policy and Procedures Directorate
d) Communications
e) Club Events
f) Club improvements
g) Membership
h) Fundraising
i) Skills Enhancement
j) Volunteers
New members will be supported and mentored by the existing Board of Directors to help ease the transition into this role. Participation on the Board is voluntary and there is no remuneration for service.
Expected Commitment from Board Members:
- Term begins June 2021 and will continue for three years
- Attend monthly Board meetings: one in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting (held in June)
- Able to commit the time and resources to serve on the Board and one board committee, and represent Unionville Curling Club as requested
