The UCC Reopening Committee is working on policies and procedures for reopening the club that will include, but are not limited to:
- Asking members stay home if they present any symptoms of COVID19 including:
- Fever
- Respiratory symptoms (dry or persistent cough, trouble breathing, sneezing, congestion, sore throat or difficulty swallowing)
- New atypical symptoms such as chills, tiredness, diarrhea, muscle aches or headache
- As per City of Markham requirements masks must be worn in the club except:
- When actively exercising
- When seated and eating or drinking
- Change rooms will not be available, please come dressed to curl. Seating will be available to change your shoes and a coat rack or hooks will be available.
- Washrooms will remain open
- Designated traffic markings will be put in place to manage navigation through the club and encourage social distancing
- On arrival members will be directed to the men’s change room which is the designated waiting area prior to their game
- When the ice is ready for your game players will proceed directly to the rink
- Designated standing positions will be in place on the ice following recommendations from the Curling Canada Return to Play Guidelines
- No spectators or visitors until further notice
- Game start and end times will be strictly enforced to allow the ice technician adequate time between draws to prepare the ice and complete cleaning protocols.
- The bar will be open and contactless payment will be available
- Seating for post-game socializing will be split between the bar and dining room
- Chairs have been placed 2 meters apart and should not be moved from the designated positions
- Access to the kitchen will be limited to UCC staff only
- No communal snacks or sharing of food
- Members will be asked to sign-off on a new Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Indemnity Agreement before playing their first game
- Contact tracing protocols will be in place if there has been a risk of exposure to COVID19
