On behalf of the Board of Director’s, I am extremely delighted to inform you that the UCC grant application to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for $100,800 to insulate the building and replace the siding has been approved!
These repairs will ensure the building is more energy efficient and significantly extend the life if our facility.
I’d like to thank MPP Billy Pang for coming to our Club yesterday to deliver this announcement and to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for this very generous grant.
We have made extensive unplanned repairs to the building and its infrastructure in the last few months which depleted a lot of our capital funding. This grant will ensure that the project to insulate and replace the siding, approved by the members at our Annual Meeting, will be completed as originally planned.
We have not delayed in getting the work started today. If you come by the Club, you will see that a lot of the siding on the north side of the building has been removed and the 1.5 inches of insulation is being installed.
