ICE RENTAL FAQ
How many sheets of ice & how many people on the ice?
Unionville Curling Club has 4 sheets of ice. 8 people per sheet or a total 32 people.
What is the price for an ice rental?
Depending on what rental spaces and length of the rental, the price can range from $400 - $2000+ and HST.
Is there a minimum number of ice sheets needed for a rental?
Yes, the minimum is 2 ice sheets. If you have 12 people or more people you need at least 2 ice sheets.
How long is an ice rental?
Ice is typically rented for a 2-hour period of time.
What is included in the ice rental?
Equipment: grippers, sliders & brooms. Two instructors per ice sheet. Use of the lounge/bar after.
I want to rent sheets of ice. When can I rent them?
Ice rental takes place between late October to late March. Limited Saturdays from 5 pm - 9 pm. Limited Sundays from 4 pm - 6 pm. There is no rental time during the weekdays.
What is the age limit?
7-12 year olds are allowed on the ice, but MUST WEAR A HELMET. We don’t rent helmets.
7-18 year olds must have a guardian sign a waiver for them to be allowed on the ice.
18-99 year olds must sign an adult waiver to be allowed on the ice.

What other spaces do you have for rental?
UCC has a lounge, a dining room and a parking lot.
When can I rent the lounge or dining/meeting room or parking lot?
The lounge and dining room can be rented all year long. But, during the curling season, times and dates are limited. The parking lot is only available from mid-April to early October.
Can I bring alcohol and food to my rental?
You are NOT allowed to bring outside alcohol. We have a LBCO stocked bar with staff. You are allowed to bring in food and can use our fully-equipped kitchen. If you require the bar for your rental. There is a $150 fee for a bartender.
What are dining room features?
Seats 32 people with round tables or 50 people theatre style. Access to the fully-equipped kitchen. A television for display.
What is the cost of the dining room?
$100 per hour with a minimum of 3 hour rental. The length of your event plus prep & clean-up time for your rental.
What are lounge features?
Maximum capacity is 136 people. Can accommodate a variety of tables and seating configurations. Speaker and microphone available (included) for presentations. Lectern available (included). Access to the fully-equipped kitchen (included).
What is the cost of the lounge room?
$150 per hour with a minimum of 3 hour rental. The length of your event plus prep & clean-up time for your rental.
What is parking lot rental?
Parking in Unionville is limited. If you want guaranteed parking for your event, UCC has 55 parking spots.
What is the cost of the parking lot
$500 for half day (6 hours).
