The Evening Men's Team Entry curling league provides members with the opportunity to put together their own team of 4 curlers to play and compete for the entire season.
All games are on Tuesday nights with start times alternating between 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
The season consists of three seven game schedules and a playoff system. Competition is for two awards, the Evening Men's Grand Aggregate (top points team for the season) and the Evening Men's Club Champions (playoff Winner).
The format of this league is a ladder system based on total points earned.
Teams are divided into 2 Divisions (A and B) Teams are ranked at the end of each schedule, with the bottom 2 teams in A dropping to B division, and the top 2 teams in B moving up to A division.
Team positions within divisions are based on rankings from the preceding schedule. Initial Team rankings are based on the final standings of the 3rd schedule of the previous year. Both "returning" and “new” teams are ranked according to Rule 7 in the “Rules for Competitive Team Entry Curling”. The men’s executive reserves the right to make final decisions on the placement of recombined teams. Newly formed teams will be considered for entry on a first come, first serve basis.
Note: A team’s registration is considered complete as of the date when all 4 players’ are listed and their registrations and fees are received.
An Opening Night Meeting (Tues. Sept 19 @ 7 pm), a mid-year Bonspiel and Men's Golf Day are other highlights of the season.
